Greetings and salutations! My name is helens78 (Helens), and I'll be working with people on a two-scene, 2000-word, six-role XMFC script called "Superhuman Affairs."

Rehearsal schedule:

I'm open to a variety of times, but would like to have one weekly rehearsal lasting from approximately 11:00am to 1:00pm Pacific (use the World Clock to convert that to your local time! Pacific time is the same as Seattle, San Francisco, or Los Angeles) on either Saturday or Sunday mornings. Please specify if one or both of those times will work for you!

I am very open to improvisation on this script, and the script may end up with rewrites as we go.

All accents are welcome! I don't care if your native accent matches the characters' accents. Please use your most comfortable reading voice, and don't worry about accents at all.

Rehearsals will take place on Skype (my Skype username is helensfic). I will record rehearsals with MP3 Skype Recorder and will have copies available for all performers after we've recorded, in case we brainstorm ideas or you'd like to play back the rehearsals to see what your interactions with other performers sounded like.

The script is only 15 minutes or so, so we'll be running through it multiple times per rehearsal session. I marked out two hours as an approximate rehearsal time, but that actually may not be necessary -- we'll play it by ear.

For final recording, I'd ideally like each person to record eir own part individually, but I will have a Skype backup as a last-case option.

Sorry that it took us a while to make an official announcement about our new schedule! We had some behind-the-scenes work to do with directors to get ready for casting, and between the hurricane and life stuff, everything got pushed back a bit in the timeline to make sure we'd be able to do this right!

So here's the update: We've got 6 exciting projects in the works. They will post casting calls by tomorrow at the latest. As soon as casting call info is posted for a project, you may begin to submit auditions. Auditions for every project will stay open for 9 days—two weekends and the week in between. Once the first round of auditions close, directors may decide to hold callbacks to make final decisions, and then they will put up a casting list.

Here are answers to a couple of questions you may be having!

1. You are allowed to audition for as many roles, in as many productions, as you would like. Directors will privately communicate their casting lists to each other to make sure that no actor will be cast in more than one major role and one minor role across projects, so you don't need to worry about ending up with multiple major roles and being overwhelmed.

2. You will audition for a character by recording yourself performing the audition lines or sections that the director has chosen for that character. If this involves dialogue, you are welcome to get a second person to read opposite you, but you are also welcome to read both parts yourself and then note which of the two characters you're auditioning for.

Casting Call - Do You Wanna Date My Avatar?

Hi, I'm kalakirya (Jess), and I'll be working with people on a 9000 word multi-voice Teen Wolf podfic!

What's the story?
It's Do You Wanna Date My Avatar by christycorr christycorr, and is written half in narrative format, and half in World of Warcraft chat format. The story is here on AO3, and my complicatedly color-coded preliminary script is here. I'm still fussing with it – the narrator's going to get a little smaller, as the cues get passed to the characters, but it should give you an idea.

What's the author's summary of the story?
In hindsight, maybe introducing the local werewolf contingent to the wonderful world of online gaming hadn't exactly been Stiles' best idea.

About the Script:

a better fate than wisdom by girlpearl (Bandom/Fall Out Boy, Pete/Patrick, general audiences, 3,000 words). When a very insistent groupie won’t leave Patrick alone, Patrick decides to pretend that he and Pete are dating. That wouldn’t be a problem if Patrick didn’t have a crush on Pete or if he could remember that Pete’s only pretending.

Rehearsal Schedule:

I’d like to rehearse 1-2 hours a week, on either Saturdays or Sundays at some point between 11:00 Central time and 6:00 Central time. Please let me know which day and times are best for you.

Narrator (large role, in all scenes) - Will read all narration (the story is written in 3rd person past tense, from Patrick Stump’s pov)
Derek Hale (small role, 2 scenes) - A crossover character from the TV show Teen Wolf. Derek is a late teens/early 20’s werewolf and (in this story) an ardent Patrick Stump fan.
Patrick Stump (large role, in all scenes) - Early 20’s, lead singer for the band Fall Out Boy.
Pete Wentz (large role, in all scenes) - Mid 20’s, bassist for the band Fall Out Boy

About the Story and Script:

DILF by twentysomething is a Teen Wolf fic focusing on the slash pairing of Derek and Stiles. Due to the length of it (30k+), much of the heavy slash is being edited out, so the rating doesn't creep past a PG-13 (for language).

Summary by the author: "Today is Scott's first day of kindergarten and Derek is terrified."

Rehearsal Schedule:

Rehearsals would typically be 1-2 hours long. The script is broken up into scenes, so not everyone is needed at each read-through. I am aiming for evenings (5pm EST - 10pm EST), any night of the week, so please let me know which days work best for you.

The script is still being worked on. I'm adapting as fast as my fingers will let me. Because of this, suggestions are welcomed. If you are cast and feel something isn't working, or have ideas on how to make something better, please do share.

In regards to accents, a neutral American accent is preferred, but won't necessarily exclude anyone.

However, mic quality is taken into consideration. If it sounds like you're talking into a tin can, my ears will not be happy. If you are limited to using an internal microphone, please consider upgrading. USB mics are typically effective and cost-efficient. (Even mics from Rock Band will suffice most of the time.)
